The Wonders and Limits of Remote Working
In August, I had my first remote work experience in Bali as part of the WiFi Tribe chapter. Despite the limits that I had to overcome, I also met some fantastic people. The type of people that you think you're anyways too old to meet. All I can say is that I am being blessed to meet such wonderful friends in such a short time. This week we remet in Barcelona for some more work, and it all felt just so good. However, nothing must be taken for granted.
So if you're wondering how to get to work remotely, meet wonderful people to fill your life with joy and what are the limits you need to overcome, here're my thoughts:
It doesn't matter where you are as long as you are with the right people for you;
You can gather a bunch of different souls in the same place, but as long as respect is their biggest virtue things will go just as right every time;
If you care more about yourself and less about what the others are doing or believing, you'll have much more to gain;
I had to go to Switzerland to meet my husband. I had to go to Bali to discover amazing people in my life again. The world is big, and we must benefit from that, as much as we can;
You actually start being a digital nomad long before you know it. Somewhere there, in your heart, something tells you this long before you are aware of it;
Working and travelling at the same time can seem fun, but without strict organisation and power of will things can go messy; it can be a dream, or it can be a nightmare;
If you feel that you do not fit into any place in this world, maybe travelling while working is the life for you. But be ready for the choice.
Digital nomading is not for everyone. It is for the ones that want to discover themselves and are ready to make sacrifices for that. And the sacrifices are not small;
You will find things about yourself that you didn't know; it's just part of the process;
At the moment you'll realise that you know yourself so well and are so confident that the path taken is the right for you, vanity, jealousy, arrogance and envy will just become terms of your past.
It's ok to stop at a particular moment when you feel this type of life is not for you anymore.
I am going to follow the road and see where it takes me :)
